In an effort to better serve our teachers and the school community, we have reconfigured the granting process for B.E.S.T. Grant proposal application submission deadlines are as follows:

Fall: November 1st  – Notification of Award:  December 1st   

Spring: March 31st  – Notification of award: April 30th

B.E.S.T. focuses its efforts in three areas:

1.  Technology –Providing funding to support the integration of technology in our public schools to enrich curriculum at all grade levels.

2. Professional Development – Funds provided for staff members for seminars/educational opportunities that will enhance curriculum efforts.

3.  Educator In-Residence – Programs requiring long-term planning and involving guest teachers.  

We are very excited about B.E.S.T.’s new direction and hope you’ll share in our enthusiasm!  After 11 years, B.E.S.T. continues to be an organization that places the utmost value on you as our children’s teachers.  With our technology initiative and the professional development grants, we hope to give you the tools you need for the future.

All grant requests that fall within the Technology, Professional Development or Educator-In-Residence categories should be submitted to your principal for approval and to forward to B.E.S.T.   Please email grants@bestforboxford.org if you have any questions.

Other curriculum enrichment and materials requests that fall outside of the guidelines above should be submitted to P.T.O.  The P.T.O. has two funding sources for such requests, Teachers Wishes and Curriculum Enrichment Programs.   Please see www.boxfordpto.org or email board@boxfordpto.org for more information.
